Policies and Terms of Service

Reservations:  Please call to schedule your party 3-6 weeks in advance to reserve your party date. To secure your date and time BOTH the Party Agreement Form and initial deposit must be completed. Unless both steps are complete we cannot guarantee your selected date/time. We will send you a confirmation email once both are complete!

 

Deposit:  A non-refundable $100 deposit is required to secure your party date. This is done via Pay Pal. This option is located on our "book online" page!

 

Payment:  The initial deposit is via Pay Pal and is done through our "book online" page. We accept cash, checks, or Paypal (wishuponastarvisit@gmail.com) Checks should made payable to "Wish Upon A Star Parties" for the remaining payment.   The final balance is due the day of the party by cash or check. We also have a Venmo link which is provided in your confirmation email. Our performer will provide you with a party invoice at the time of arrival, this is is where we collect our remaining balance. After your special experience all you do is return the invoice to us at the end of the party! We'll take care of the rest! 

 

Gratuity & Tipping:  Although not required, a tip is accepted and always appreciated for a job well-done! If you are able to tip cash this is our preferred method! Though anything is always appreciated and accepted!

Safety & Background Checks: Wish Upon A Star Parties is dedicated to creating a magical and fun experience for our clients! We can assure you our performers are thoroughly screened before becoming a part of Wish Upon A Star Parties. Safety is a top priority of ours not only for our clients but for our performers as well. As part of your party agreement you may be subject to a background check to ensure the well-being of our performers. If the performer feels uncomfortable/unsafe they have the right to leave the party/event at any time. If the client feels uncomfortable/unsafe they may ask a performer to leave at any point of the party/event. The safety of everyone is very important to us and we encourage our clients and performers to report anything that would put anyone involved with Wish Upon a Star Parties in a hazardous situation.

 

Adults at Party:  Parents and other adult guests are welcome to stay and enjoy the fun, but we ask on-lookers to keep the noise level and distractions to a minimum.  The character(s) at the party are responsible for hosting the games and activities, but we kindly ask that you monitor the behavior and participation of the children.  This will help us provide the best possible experience for you and your child! There must be at least one adult supervising children at all times. We ask that the children do not touch our supplies unless prompted by the performer as it keeps them all sanitary and allows us to keep the magic a secret! If any supplies/costume is damaged due to a child's behavior and/or improper supervision from any guest(s) the client will be subject to a damages fee.

Pool/Outdoor Events:  We know SWFL is a beautiful place to host outdoor events and pool parties! We do request that if an event is being held outdoors that there is a shaded area or indoor space option for our performers as it can be very hot in our costumes and this provides a safety issue if the environment is not in control. For pool parties: all children participating in the activities/photos must be completely DRY! Our supplies is not all waterproof and our costumes can be damaged. If any damage to costumes or supplies occurs client is subject to a damage fee.

 

Pets: Please make sure that all pets are kept away from the party area so that they are not a distraction to the children or cause damage to the costume/supplies.

 

Cancelations & Rescheduling:  Once your deposit is paid, the party can only be postponed 1 time, if needed.  If you decide to cancel your party at any time, the deposit is non-refundable.  

 

Travel Fee:  A set travel fee of $10.00 will be added to any location 25-40 miles from Fort Myers, Florida.  For any location further than 40 miles, an additional $0.75 per mile will be added to the final bill for the party.  Travel rates will increase to $1.25 for every mile after 60 miles from Fort Myers, FL.  Please remember while calculating a travel fee, that mileage will be counted coming to and coming from the party.  *Captiva and Sanibel additional $6.00 toll fee. 

Extra Guest Fee:  Our packages are designed for a specific number of children. Each additional 5 guest requires a $15 fee to cover supplies ($3 per child).

 

Liability:  Wish Upon a Star Parties, its owners, and performers assume no responsibility or liability for accidents, allergies relating to make-up, injuries to party guests, or property damage.  As a professional event planner, I can assure you we will provide a safe and entertaining environment for your guests, and will treat your home like  a "royal palace".
